I have been caring for a cute as a button black Shih Tzu w/tan points (doberman markings) named Coco for the last 8 months. She is now about 18 months old, not fixed, and has not had any immunizations yet. she was left behind by her owners, with the intention to be shipped later to Japan after vaccinations and spaying, with a friend of mine, but the owners did not realize The expense amount and what the dog would have to go through in order to be shipped, and decided not to have her shipped. Sadly, she wore out her welcome at my friends house as she was not house trained as they claimed, and ruined $4000 worth of furniture and carpets, and ... (Read More)so my friend relinquished her to me instead of taking her to the pound. Unfortunately, she does have a strong prey drive. In the last 2 months she has personally killed 2 of my chickens, and helped assassinate 2 more chickens this weekend with another dog that is also being re-homed. She continues to harass the rest of my flock, and she also aggressively picks on one of my 3 cats... the other 2 cats are dominant and are able to kick her butt, so she leaves them alone. She also has grooming needs that I cannot accommodate ( Despite spraying efforts we still have a flea problem in the back yard and she is OCD with her chewing, keeping me up at night, so has lost some fur on her hind end. the good news is she is a silly sweetheart when it comes to people. she loves to sit on your lap or in the window and play a guard dog. but she is a bossy aggressive pain in the butt with other animals if they are passive. and she has finally learned to use the doggie door to go outside to relieve herself. all you have to say is 'outside'... and she goes out without a fuss. Perhaps having her spayed will be a solution to her aggression problems, but to be honest, i am overwhelmed with personal problems at the moment and do not have the time to take care of her needs. She would be great as an only dog that someone could spoil and needs someone who will love her, she is very lovable when she's not tormenting other animals. I advise that she may not be good around a toddler or small child, as she has snapped at our 16 month old grandson, at Easter, however she would probably be perfect for a young girl older than 7. as her previous owner was a 9 year old girl. She is about 18 months old now and approx 45 lbs, the Vet said she isn't going to get much larger, she's been spayed and we had her chipped. She is current, on all of her shots. To Whom it May Concern. I have a problem that at this point feels so absolutely out of control I'm sending this to anyone and everyone that will hear me. I rescued a Pit over a year ago that has changed my life. He was 2 days away from being destroyed and has extreme separation anxiety which I remedied by bringing in a Rottweiler puppy. I received notice from my apartment management, shortly after bringing him home, stating that I needed to get rid of him. I created documents proving that I was employed with a company that worked with dogs and also had a therapist recommend that i have a therapy dog. The subject was dropped and we all ... (Read More)lived peacefully until now. Apparently the neighbors have complained that they would like a dog and that it is unfair. I have been given a 60 day notice that says I need to leave the property by June 11th, they are terminating our lease. I have been searching for a new place to move into that is within my allotted budget AND will except my dogs, but nothing has come to fruition. We can stay if the dogs go, my 2 children and myself. But in reality I have 4 CHILDREN! I've thought of all sorts of ways to legally go about this, but even if I pulled out the big guns about therapy dogs blah blah, they can still terminate my lease for 'no reason'. I know that 'fostering' doesn't mean I can have my babies back when I get it all figured out...so what are my options?? I will accept any and all advice at this point. I found this dog scared and walking around a levee road in Stockton, CA on Thursday. I am still trying to find the owners, but it's not looking too good for this sweetheart. He is still young. I don't know how young, but he can't be more than 2. So he still has the energy and attention span of a puppy. He is a fantastic dog. He gives kisses, especially when you make kissy sounds. Very happy dog. He knows the command sit, but not lay down. He pulls on the leash but loves it. He is also VERY good in the car (except he likes giving kisses there too!) Ito is a 5 pound little male chihuahua who is just cute as can be. He has the cutest little button nose and a beautiful round head. Ito has lovely markings, too. Ito came from the Wildomar, CA shelter where he was picked up as a stray. I am sure his owners could not locate him in time because, from his demeanor, it is obvious that he was loved at some time.
