We're told 'Koda' is a 'Bo-Chi,' a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Anything's possible, I guess. He certainly came out stronger on the Chihuahua side! The only BT characteristics we can see are a slightly squared off muzzle and very mild underbite. Fawn in color, 'Koda' was born in September 2010, is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, on heartworm preventive and is microchipped. And what a personality! 'Koda' is self-assured enough to easily transition into a new home, but is not a bully or arrogant. He's a sweetheart! He gets along with other dogs wonderfully, as well as with cats. Muffin is a very sweet girl. We got her from her previous owner who left her to suffer so we took her in but we can't keep her cause we can't give her the attention she deserves. She loves children, other dogs and cats. She does need to be started on heart worm prevention and does need her vaccines updated. She's been a very healthy girl. The only major issue she has had in the last year was a disc rupture which fully healed. The only thing we do recommend is that she wears a harness instead of a collar just to be safe. The Bichon Frise is believed to be about 8 years old and the Shih Tzu is believed to be about 2 years old. I took him in 3 years ago because he had no place to go. He doesn't get along with children very well... especially if they try to handle him. He has bitten my granddaughter, and is very territorial. The FedEx and UPS drivers don't like him ( just bit the pant leg of the FedEx driver today), but he does get along with the propane guy. Rosco is a typical 6 yr 9 month old blonde male pug that loves to have his belly rubbed, show off his toys and of course snuggle! Rosco was purchased by a young couple as a puppy and after homing him for a few months decided they couldn't handle the responsibility of a puppy. He then went to a new home that had a larger breed of dog that was not compatible with other animals. So, we then took him home with us! By the age of almost 1, Rosco had been into 3 homes! My Snowball is a very loving, loyal male bichon...he has good temprement with kids and adults and is very good around other dogs. When we got him 11 years ago we smothered him with love and attention, we just aren't able to do that now with the kids growing up and my husband and I working all day. He has been especially loyal to me and although he is crate trained during the day while we are gone, he sleeps in my room (often crawling under the covers to get as close to me as possible!). Ricci came into the Veterinary Clinic where I work to be euthanized. Since I have a sibling from the same litter, I convinced the owners to let me try to find another home for Ricci, instead of euthanasia. Ricci is a wonderful, sweet dog that loves attention. Her seizures were diagnosed last year and have been under control with use of an anti-convulsant drug. There are no other health issues. She is a great family dog and good with children, adults, cats, and other dogs. Benny is a feisty, 1-year old Rat Terrier who thinks he is still a puppy. He loves to run and play chase with his foster sister. Benny believes nothing is better than being outside, playing fetch with a ball or patrolling the backyard. This guy is a real character and lives to play. And play, and play! However, when he's done, his next favorite thing is to take a nap on someone's lap. He doesn't mind that at 18 lbs. he can be quite a lap-ful! Zero sheds very little, and really doesn't require much grooming at all, just a bath every once in a while and nail trimmings. Zero is not a slobbery face licker, he'll just lick your hands a little to say he loves you. Zero isn't much of a barker, he's actually pretty quiet, especially for a Beagle. Zero doesn't have any problems with people petting or watching him while he eats. He will share his food and water bowls. Zero and our cat will drink water at the same time and he'll even let the cat eat his food. He doesn't beg for human food, unless you're eating pizza, Zero Loves Pizza! Having said all that, I would like his new owners to be aware of the following: Zero requires a 'chew blanket' and raw hide at all times so he doesn't find other items that aren't appropriate for him to chew on. Zero has been diagnosed with separation anxiety and therefore does not like being left alone. Zero cannot be kenneled! He has chewed his way through two of the metal wire kennels and one of the plastic ones, kenneling him is NEVER an option. Putting him outside in a fenced in yard while you are away might be an option, we don't have a fence so I don't know how that would work out. It is important to always have him on a leash before opening the door OR making sure to tell him to sit and stay when opening the door. (This is hard for small children to do every time they or their friends open the door, so keep that in mind if you have kids.) If Zero does get out he will run, but we have been working on the Come command with him. If he knows you have a treat for him you can coerce him back to you. (Zero has been hit by two cars because of running out of the house and having no fear of cars.) Zero is house trained, but may have a (peeing) accident when left alone in the house for too long of a time. It pains me to be writing this up, he will be missed greatly! She has spent an ample amout of her time in her kennel and definitly when company came around if ever. She does VERY well with our children and nieces and nephews however we have her listed with no children because of the aggrssion she has shown a few times we believe she will definitly need the training to get use to all types of ppl before trusted around kids...and strangers. He is completely fine is someone is out in the livingroom with him, but once he is by himself his attitude completely changes. He can refrain from going on the floor all day if someone is with him, but if left alone for a two hour period, he will pee on our floor 4 times or more, and poop on our floor at least twice!! I am only putting this on here because I do not know if he will continue to do this once in a different home, and I do not want someone to take him and then be in the same position I am or angry because they didn't know he was like this. I have tried to 'fix' the problem, and can't!! I DO NOT want to take him to the humane society, but if someone can't take him tomorrow then I have no choice. I do not have 2 hours to be cleaning stuff up and scrubbing floors every morning and another 2 hours when I get home from work... I work, go to school, and have two small boys (1 and 3 years old) that need my attention and for the last few weeks have only seen me scrubbing up Jasper's messes.
