Rescue Me ID: 17-01-18-00366Finnigan (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adult Men Only
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I am looking to re-home my 10 month old puppy, Finnegan, he's a beautiful boxer/black lab mix. Unfortunately I'm in the process of starting my own business and sadly work is occupying far too much of my time to best take care of him. I adopted him from the humane society 4 months ago. He has had all of his shots, vaccinations, is neutered and already house-broken. He is very playful and gets along with the cat I have in the house. About him: Currently 10 months old, about 50 pounds (the vet says he shouldn't get any bigger). As a puppy he still has a lot of energy, so I'm hoping to find a home where his owners will be able to give ... (Read More)him the attention and love he deserves. He's friendly, loves meeting strangers and riding in the car as he usually travels with me everywhere I go. He even comes to work with me and sits calmly by my desk all day. It's worth noting that he has a tendency to be more aggressive in environments where there isn't a male around. For this reason we would suggest a home where there is at least one adult male to keep him in check. We tried to re-home him to a single female and he was too much for her to handle on her own. I can be contacted via cell at (256) 520 6917 or email hartlykins2@yahoo.com. Thank you, Joshua (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-18-00056Mosby (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Mosby is a 1 yr old, 40 lbs, terrier mix. His foster mom says he is the cutest little low rider and that gets along with both the puppies and her dogs. She also says it would be great if he were adopted by someone that has another dog so he can have company. Mosby loves to play/wrestle with other dogs and he loves to cuddle with people and dogs. He just wants to be loved. His foster mom says sweet Mosby is house trained. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and heart worm preventatives. He is currently being cared for in Texas and once adopted can be transported to the NW. Transport and required health certificate are ... (Read More)included in his adoption fee. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

He is a very happy and friendly 9 month old aprox 45 pound puppy! He should be an only dog as he does resource guarding and will growl and possibly attack if another is getting what he wants. But the irony of it is he absolutely loves to play with other dogs! He is very happy at other peoples houses with dogs or the park or whatever (as long as there is nothing to fight over). He absolutely lights up when children come to play with him! But he is a big dog and plays too rough sometimes for very small children. He loves going for walks and laying near his humans for lots of pets and kisses too! He is potty trained and crate trained but ... (Read More)pulls on the leash and does need work there. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Meet Ginger, an older gal with a lot of love to give. She was found as a stray in Benton County, WA during the worst snow storm of the year. She had been living in between some abandoned trailers and was unable to be caught. Good Sam were feeding her, leaving her blankets, and toys while a plan was formulated to catch her. Once the shelter staff trapped her, it took them four hours to shave all the matted hair off of her and her paws were so raw from running she took a little while to recover. She also had developed some temporary blindness due to the extreme cold she endured, but she has recovered from all of that now. She is still ... (Read More)shy, and is not great with quick movements. She would get along with other dogs once she became confident in who she was again. She would make the perfect companion for anyone with love and warm home to give. We have no idea how she would be with cat and we suggest older kids or no kids as she is not a fan of fast movement. She is mostly potty trained (just takes a few days to get her back into the swing of things) and is currently being fostered in Portland, OR and her adoption fee is $250.00. (Less)

Hello! My name is Charlotte, and well, the most important thing to know about me is that I'm a lover! I'm around 5-months-old and I arrived from a shelter in CA where I had been picked up as a stray. I've been in a wonderful foster home, getting lots of love and socialization with other dogs, but I'd love a special family to call my own. I'd like to find someone who lives a fun active lifestyle, and that will be committed to my on-going training and socialization so I can grow up to be an awesome k9 citizen. I love to play and I am treat motivated so we can make training fun! My foster mona thinks I'm pretty amazing and well-behaved, which ... (Read More)you'll get to see when you meet me!     Hello! My name is Faith, and well, the most important thing to know about me is that I can be a little shy at first, but once I know you I will LOVE you and am so much fun! I arrived from a shelter in CA with 4 of my puppies, and my friends here suspect I haven't much time to just be a pup myself! I'd love a special person to call my own. I'd like to find someone who lives an active lifestyle, will use a gentle training approach, and understanding of my needs. I'm treat motivated, and I'm learning all about play with toys and with other dogs, I also walk great on leash! My friends think I'm pretty adorable and fun, which you'll get to see ...     COURTESY LISTING--Have you been looking for love in all the wrong places? Look no further. I'm a loyal girl, who is seeking someone who will look into my eyes and know they are finally home. I'm Allie, a sensitive soul who's about 6 years old and love to snuggle with my people. Giving affection is my favorite activity and I adore children. While I enjoy a good romp with the calmer dogs in playgroups, I prefer to be the only dog in my new home, because I want all of my family's attention to myself. My ideal home would have kind, patient people who will give me time to adjust to a new home. I'm housebroken, but require an inexpensive medicine ... I'm currently in a foster home, which is much more comfortable than at the shelter. A generous donor has prepaid my adoption fee, so I can be adopted for free to an approved home.     COURTESY LISTING- Baron is not in foster care with Critical Pet Rescue. We are providing a service to Operation Safe Canine Animal Rescue. If you'd like to know more about Baron or are interested in adopting him, please contact Baron's foster mom via the information below. My name is Baron. I'm a young, neutered boy at just over a year old who is looking for a family or person who will give me lots of love and time to just hang out with them. My foster mom says I learn quickly, am treat-motivated and will thrive in a home that will continue my training. At 65 lbs, I'm a strong boy who needs daily exercise. I love to go on walks, fetch ... (Read More)sticks while swimming and play well with some dogs who are similar in size and energy. I am also an expert lap snuggler! My foster family has 10 year old girls and I do very well with them. Due to my energy and size, I can be a bit too much for younger children. I would also prefer a home without small animals since I love the thrill of the chase. Since people are my passion, I need to be a house dog with a family who will either stay with me in the yard when I need to go outside or provide a secure solution to keep me from visiting the neighbors. My foster mom has lots of great ideas that she can share with you. Overall, I'm just a big guy with a loving heart who needs a little education to be a fantastic dog. The veterinarian says I'm in good health and I'm up to date on my shots. I'm lucky to be part of a rescue organization called OSCAR (Operation Safe Canine Rescue) and my adoption fee is $100.00. At around 10 years old Punkin has some of the usual old man health issues, his hearing isn't great and he does require meds for his glaucoma and dry eye, but as in true Punkin style he just rolls with it with no protest. Punkin is housebroke but has had some marking ... (Read More)naughtiness probably due to other males in potty training processes.     Jerry is a very special and sweet boy. He really bonds well with his human. He would be a great companion dog for a single person. He is good with other dogs and no prey drive has been noted, but he is not good with cats. He is shy at first, but warms up quickly. He needs a dominant handler to feel secure and not need to feel like he is a caretaker. His photos do not do him justice, he is a handsome low-rider. He is EXTREMELY smart and well mannered boy. Rescue Me ID: 17-01-07-00136Arrow (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi, I am posting an ad for my 4 year old female spayed border collie/heeler mix named Arrow. I have owned her for almost two years and and placing this ad in hopes to find a home more suitable to her needs. She is a HIGH energy dog who needs a job. I live in a studio apartment and work 40+ hours a week. While I do my best to get her exercise she continues to have a lot of pent up energy. My dream for her is a home with a lot of land (perhaps a farm!) who could put a dog with impeccable herding instincts to work. If not that, at least a person with a home and land who would be able to devote more time to her. I have taken her to agility ... (Read More)classes and she was awesome. I know she would be great at herding/flyball etc. She'd be a great running partner and I feel like she'd be good running alongside a bicycle too. I think she may have been a working dog as a pup, I acquired her through the animal hospital that I work at, she was surrendered by her owner because she ate rat bait and the owner wanted to euthanize her due to cost concerns. I adopted her and fell in love. She is so sweet and once she is tired out she is happy to cuddle and wants to be close to her people. She does have some health concerns: namely she has megaesophagus now. She did have a congenital heart abnormality that required surgery. Thankfully I was able to afford the costs of surgery and now her only requirement is that she be fed liquid food from an elevated feeder, due to her megaesophagus. I blend up dry kibble with water as a more cost effective option to buying canned food. She also has bilateral luxating patellas which she may need surgery for in the future, I cannot afford the surgery at this time. The side effect of this is that she gets sore knees but can receive an anti inflammatory for long runs/hikes. I love this dog and wish I had the land and the time to give her but I cannot ignore the fact that she would be so much happier with a job to do. In summary, I am looking for someone in a stable living situation who has knowledge about herding breeds and their needs. Arrow will need someone to give her DAILY, strenuous exercise and be willing to cater to her dietary needs (soft/liquid food, elevated feedings). She must also go to a home that will allow her indoors. She is allowed on couches and my bed and I think it should stay that way. A couple more things: -She has lived with a kitten before and was amazing with her; they played and were good friends. -However, she will chase cats outside. (she will also chase after motorcycles, bicycles, cars and anything else moving. She has been known to try to nip the ankles of runners or other fast moving beings and should be kept on leash in crowded environments. Typical herding behaviors apply) -She has slept in a crate and does very well with this -She loves to go swimming and is the perfect dog to play fetch or go on long hikes with. -She enjoys barking too. -I have seen her interact with kids once and she was very sweet and well behaved, but I believe she may do best in a kid-free home as she likes to chase loud, fast moving objects. -She is tolerant of other dogs (she lives with another adult female dog right now and loves to play/wrestle). She gets kind of crotchety when she's focused on playing ball and does not like other dogs in her face, but overall I think she'd enjoy living somewhere with other dogs but would also be happy to receive all the attention. Sorry this is so long, I love this dog and want her to have a chance to find the best home possible. People with active lifestyles need only respond. I am asking a $100 re-homing fee to ensure she goes to a home willing to take care of her. Please email or text me if interested. Julie (Less)

COURTESY LISTING--My name is Baron. I love to go on walks, fetch sticks while swimming and play well with some dogs who are similar in size and energy. I am also an expert lap snuggler! My foster family has 10 year old girls and I do very well with them. Due to my energy and size, I can be a bit too much for younger ... (Read More)children. Hi! I'm Korben. I'm 1 year old presumed Lab Border Collie mix and weigh 57 lbs. You can still come meet me before then to get to know me! I am a playful, active, goofy boy, but probably won't show you that right away--I'll have to get to know you first. I am friendly with other dogs if they are polite, and a bit nervous at first if they are extra energetic. I am a good watch dog and will alert to protect my home. I'm learning how to trust new people here, and making great strides. I love to go on walks and play! I am looking for a patient person who can teach me about the big wide world! I offer snuggles, kisses, and lots of love in return. ... (Read More) I am at the shelter, but won't be ready for adoption until after my neuter on 1/11. I am noted as neutered - as I cannot leave to my new home until after surgery. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter, 1420 Brookside Blvd. 1.5 miles off I-5. in Merlin. Oregon. hours: Monday -Friday 10-4:30pm Saturday 10-4pm. http://www.co.josephine.or.us/SectionIndex.asp?SectionID=106 copy into your url follow instructions ... click on PET ADOPTIONS and scroll to adoption application. PLEASE READ ENTIRE NOTATIONS BELOW. The most common question is 'Good with Cats?' If we know has lived with cats or farm animals will be stated above in biography. Otherwise- we don't know. If you inquire by email- please tell us about you, your family, your yard, other animals, children, and your expectations of your new pet and what your new pet can expect from you. When you do so, we can better address your inquiry. Shelter number 541 474-5458 for status of availability as some may have been adopted since this post, and about any pending spay/neuter surgery if noted as sometimes spay/neuter appointment may be sooner if a cancellation is available. Dogs noted as a Great American Shelter Dog are noted as such because we are not sure of the breed and can only give out best guess. See more at: www.savethewhiskers.org Alternate Contact Raleigh@savethewhiskers.org or text 541 660 6578 name of dog. It is always nice if you send an inquiry about a specific adoptable guest via email to tell us about you, your family and other pets, your yard, and most importantly, your expectations of your new family member so we can answer your questions appropriately as best as possible. Please, if you email an inquiry, please understand that these animals are in the shelter for a variety of reasons: Their lives are upside down maybe because owner died, they got lost, were abandoned, owner lost home or had a life event that left their pet in need of a new home. We don't always know how they will get along with all dogs, all children. Some won't be a perfect family member right away! They will need love, patience, a strong owner who will let them know what is expected of them and what they can expect from their new family. It may take an afternoon or it may take a week or so! But they need homes and families who will bring them back to knowing what family is! Puppies: Please understand they are puppies; not potty trained; not good or bad with kids, dogs, cats. They are pliable puppies ready for you to imprint good manners, social skills and training. You are encouraged to follow up with training after they are finished with shot series and or at the direction of your veterinarian. A happy healthy well socialized puppy is a happy family! You may be asked to make a refundable deposit for spay/neutering. Inquire at the Shelter. General Adoption Fees for Dog: Adult dogs and puppies- $125, Senior dogs 7 and over $50. Veterans are half price / $62.50 with presentation of government issued VA ID. For Josephine County fee includes first year licensing. Please visit the shelter or if need special arrangements for meet and greet please email me. If you have a dog- encourage you to bring also. Staff may be unable to answer calls right away, so you may contact me via email if you cannot get to shelter right away! You are encouraged to make your best effort to go during normal business hours. Note: Often times we are asked 'what about cats'?' Please be advised that we cannot guarantee a dog's behavior with a cat; sometimes the dog is fine with a cat- but cat not so happy about his canine intruder! If we know emphatically that a dog could take issue with a cat, livestock or chickens- will be stated in body of biography! Our rescue intervened from him being passed around one more time and we are hopeful we can find his forever home.     Jackson is hoping to find a home for the New Year! He is a big 6 year old 75 lb Chocolate Lab mix (possibly pit and border collie)! He is friendly, happy, and loves to be the center of attention. This boy is STRONG and will need an owner who can keep up. Jackson knows some manners--sit, stay, lay down, shake, taking treats, etc--but sometimes just needs a little help remembering them, especially if he is around other people or is too excited to pay attention. :) He tends to be a couch potato at times but when he gets excited hes like a whole other dog and just wants to play! He will require dedication, patience and strong leadership- but he ... (Read More)wants to please and be your best friend! Please help me find a home where he can be the center of attention, play, run, go for walks and have a nice yard to chase the squirrels! We have had Jackson since he was 10 weeks old and he has been the best dog anyone could have so we would really like the home he goes to, to be his forever home. He has had some minor behavioral issues like separation anxiety and barking at everything but since we had our son those issues have resurfaced and it became clear that he prefers being an 'only child'. He was very protective of our son until he became mobile and wanted to play with Jackson. He now either walks away from him or growls so we would love him to have a home where there are no other pets or children and gets all the love and play he deserves. He is a lot of fun, loves to go for rides, and is a clean dog, easy to care for, and extremely cuddly and loveable. he has been living with a cat, but he really likes chasing others so cats are probably a no go as well. Please let Jackson into your heart and share in the joy his sweet soul has brought me and my husband for the last 6 years.     Meet Sir Samuel Adams! He was picked up as a stray in eastern Washington, believed to be a victim of the City of Yakima pitbull ban. He spent months in the county shelter in Benton County and now has a chance to be the sweetheart pup we all know he is. Samuel is about 2 years old, playful, strong (90#), and is mostly housebroken.     Oneida is a healthy young white GSD, approx. 3.5 years old. She loves kids and people, has a mild temperament, and is fully housebroken. She was rescued from southern California two years ago following a coyote attack and subsequent quarantine for rabies, as her original owner had not vaccinated her. Due to this early trauma, Oneida has some special needs and is looking for a home that will provide her with security and additional training. The following are her prominent behavioral challenges: 1) Pretty severe separation anxiety. Oneida is perfectly calm and mellow when her people are around, but is not comfortable being left. She was on ... (Read More)prozac for around 6-8 months and in retrospect, I think it did help, although at the time I wasn't sure it was necessary so I took her off. 8 weeks later, her anxiety is really pronounced, so I have started her back on it. She took to a crate easily for her trainer (but not for me when I 1st got her), so crating would likely help quite a bit. I live in a 'tiny home' and simply do not have room for a crate; 2) Definitely compromised hearing and possibly eyesight, but neither pose much of an issue; 3) Her early trauma combined with her natural shepherd character means that she needs a very experienced handler who is confident and skilled, and can provide her with security and peace of mind. 4) Lastly, she is dog-aggressive initially, but with proper introductions, she actually does really well with most dogs. I listed her as 'good with dogs', because I think she would do great with a buddy or especially in a pack. When with her trainer, she has done great with all the dogs, big and small, and I think a pack would really help with her sense of security. She really goes after cats, so no cats in the home please! Overall, Oneida is a real sweetie. I have watched her blossom from very consistently anxious and withdrawn to a tail-wagging (I call her Thwacker because her tail is always thwacking a wall hard when she's wagging), belly-rub-receiving girl. The problem is that my housing and work situation changed abruptly and drastically about 10 months ago, and it's been a struggle to give her what she needs. My work is requiring more and more travel, and finding care for her where she feels safe and secure is very difficult. I am also quite low income and cannot continue with the amount of training she should have. Finally, she requires a much more experienced and confident handler than I am. I have tried and have made progress over the past few years, but I am convinced that she needs more than me to really thrive. (Less)

Kira is Unusually intelligent and extremely sweet young pup. She is very playful and interactive with humans and dogs alike. She loves the company of humans and will stick to her guardian like glue, watching and learning quickly. Her new family will be very GSD savvy or agree to enter into a professional training so she can become the best dog she was created to be. She would be good with teenage kids because of her energy level and lack of manners we do not recommend her with young children. She is doing great working on her potty-training. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Nala is very sweet in the house and well trained. She gets very anxious when the situation changes and she will spin and chase her tail. We can't take her for walks because she gets very anxious when cars pass or people walk by. She is aggressive with other dogs. She has nipped at both of my kids when she has gotten anxious. We have worked with several trainers since she was a puppy but still have problems with her. She loves to run and does will in parking lots chasing balls (as long as no other dogs are around).

Loving dog needs new home. Unfortunately our dog is not a good fit with our family. He doesn't like children and we have a 2 year old and one on the way. Gets along with most people but sometimes needs a little time to warm up. He does not like to have his face touched and can show aggressive signs especially to children if his face is messed with. Needs to be in an environment without children. He also does not get along with cats or other small animals. He is an Australian cattle dog mix and has hearding instincts.     Moose is a 17 month old dog who was not socialized before I got him. He is a mix of a few breeds but is predominantly Doberman and vizsla. I got him at four months old and he was a scared young boy. I should have known then that something was wrong but I didn't. I am a teenager going into college and so dealing with this is not something that is possible for me at this time. Moose has been the best dog to me. I love him so much but I can't risk it right now. Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Spike is a rescued dog. He was born on 7/17/2012. I adopted him from the county animal control agency when he was nine months old. When no other dogs are around, he is happy, playful, extremely intelligent, and needs frequent reminders that he is with me. He can get so caught up in exploring. But he comes right back. He knows how to stay, wait and fetch. Spike could play fetch for hours I think. He so enthusiastic, he jumps on legs of new people to get a closer look. He doesn't urinate or defecate inside. He'll hold it in until he's constipated. Spike is devoted. He loves people. However, by the time he was adopted (9 mos.) he had PTSD. His ... (Read More)left rear lower leg had been broken and healed badly. Spike is frightened of some tall men with deep voices, and he is frightened when he smells a stale alcohol smell. Kicking him off your leg is not a good option, as he may have a panic attack. We're pretty sure it was a kick that broke his tiny puppy leg. And no medical care. Suspect he was abused by the other dogs. He's extremely dominant, and will take on any other dog to show he's in charge. This makes him difficult to care for. We have to avoid high dog traffic times and places. For all his extremes of fragility vs. toughness, Spike is a great dog. I have no doubt he would protect me at peril of his life. He's a lot of fun to have around. He communicates with body language and glances. Really smart dog. (Less)

BOSCO is a rescue dog who's waiting to live life to the fullest. He is 4 yrs old, 10 lbs and healthy. Watch his video and you will see his wild side! He is a crack up and easily puts a smile on the faces of those he gets to meet. Bosco has overcome some behavior issues that could have cost him his life. He would gaurd his food, try to bite and act like a little devil when provoked. But this was only because of his history of neglect. He has quickly learned not to bite and that he doesn't have to guard his food. He has been great with a 4 yr old and a 13 yr old but if a child handled him in the wrong manner or Bosco got super ... German Shorthaired Pointer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Gus is a very smart, loyal, out-to-please dog. He is quite fun to play ball with, hike with, or just take to the dog park watch run with the other dogs. He was in search and rescue, but due to health reasons of our own we needed to quit. We have three cats and two daughters (two and 3mths). He's very good with all of them. However, it's been the introduction of our daughters that has brought us to this point. Our schedules no longer allow us to frequent an off-leash park for a serious run. This is something a dog of his breed class needs. Walks just don't do enough for him. This lack of exercise is very unfair to him and it pains us to see ... (Read More)him struggling with this every day now. As much as we'd like to tell him, 'Just hold out until the girls get older,' that's a long wait in dog years. We have very strong ties with him, so knowing he's going to good hands is important to us. We want to know if things don't work out, so we can take him back and search for someone else. His breed, and he in particular, would not fair well in a kernel-all-the-time environment, so we want to make sure he never lands in a shelter. (Less)

Otis is hoping to find a home for the holidays! Otis is a big 2 year old 80 lb Great American Shelter Dog, perhaps a lab pit mix or a pit lab mix .! He is friendly and happy, and loves attention. This boy is STRONG and will need an owner who can keep up. Otis knows some manners--sit, taking treats gently, etc--but sometimes just needs a little help remembering them :) He will require dedication, patience and leadership- but is wants to please. He will be available after his neuter on 12/20. He is noted as neutered as he cannot leave the facility before surgery. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter, 1420 Brookside Blvd. 1.5 ... (Read More)miles off I-5. in Merlin. Oregon. hours: Monday -Friday 10-4:30pm Saturday 10-4pm. You can make application via the Shelter Website: http://www.jocoshelter.com/#!adoptions/c6mv copy into your url. She is getting along well with Connor, the brindle Dutch Shepard mix. They play together so nicely. She can be a little grumpy with my female Boxer mix, they are grumpy towards each other. Dutchess likes all dogs except for ones that growl or bark at her. She has a couple of small spots of missing hair on her spine. It looks like two small scars where the hair did not grow back. The spots are very small but I want to disclose it. They were there when I rescued her from the shelter. I have put coconut oil on them but it is just smooth skin.     Here is the deal, we are not a dog family. I guess there is only one way to know that and that's the hard way. We adopted Gizmo as a puppy from the breeder. We paid $750 for him, had him neutered and if I remember right, he has a microchip. He's long haired, black and white. He's a good dog, we just literally spend no time with him. We understand that a dog is a lifetime commitment, but we are to the point where we believe that a life with us is not a great life for this guy. He needs love, attention and someone who will love him as much as he wants to love his person. We noticed a red irritation on his skin when he was given a ... We are looking for a loving, forever home for him. A better life than he has now. Is this you? Please write about you. Emails asking for a pic of him will be deleted. We'd like: Someone with a lot of time. Fenced yard. Ability to care for him for life financially. He is litter box trained, or will go outside. If the box is dirty or he is ignored, he will go in the house. He is NOT a yapper. He barks initially when someone knocks at the door, but quiets quickly. He rides in the car fine, either crated or free. (Less)

Little girl belonged to my father who recently passed away. He was disabled and home with her all the time. She is potty trained but you have to be willing to take her out because he spoiled her in the way. She loves to cuddle and sleep with you. She needs more time with someone than I have to give being a full time working mom of 5 kids. She is really loving and sweet, but needs someone who is home a lot. If you have any more questions please let me know. I am going to be very picky on her home. I want everyone happy :)

Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is a hard post for me. This is dubs,%A0 she just turned eight years old and I'm in desperate need to find her a good home. I rescued this dog when she was 8 weeks old from an abusive home. She was an amazing dog to be around everyone and every animal. But a few years ago my mom's dog attacked her several times. So she's been off ever since, a year ago she ended up getting into a fight with my other female and has since been our Shop dog. We are currently losing our shop I need to find her a forever home. She is still a great dog she loves to play ball and loves to play in the water. She is also a huge cuddle bug,%A0 that would love to ... (Read More)be next to you cuddled up on the couch or outside playing ball. She can no longer be around any female dogs, She has however played very well for the past year with another male. I would say okay with older kids, she's been around my 5 year old niece and does great but I wouldn't say any younger kids because ever since the fights she just seems off. Never shown aggression towards any person before. She is a good trained dog all the basic commands can be left in a house for several hours with no accidents and no%A0 chewing. She is very protective dog that's why we've had her out at the shop and will gladly protect your home. Tried to keep her as long as I could before finding her a new home!%A0 She is fixed and all shots and worming up to date. A good home is a must as I've had her for a very long time. Unfortunately due to having my other female and also having a newborn baby it's just not an option for her to come home.I am in need to find her a home asap as if I don't before we lose our shop I will have to take her to the shelter which unfortunately is a kill shelter. If you'd like to meet her or have any questions please PM me and I'll give you any more information would like to know. Please pass along thank you so much in advance (Less)

Boo is a loving and loveable girl! She's currently in foster care where she's eager to please her people - and eager to play with her foster dog buddies. So far she has shown no aggression towards other dogs or cats. She may be too curious with kittens, so a home with cats that don't annoy her would be best! When situations have arisen with another dog not so keen on meeting her, Boo always takes the high road and doesn't make matters worse! She's a very diplomatic dog! She well mannered, house trained and good on a leash. She has some separation anxiety it seems so crates are not ideal for Boo.

We're looking for a home for our sweet and happy dog, after a wonderful six months of ownership. We were hoping that our family's level of activity and environment would be enough for her, but she's needing a home that's better suited to her interests and energy. We'd love to keep her, however we feel she could be much happier with a new family. An ideal home for her will be one where she has plenty of open space to run and sniff around outdoors, as she has a strong tracking instinct. She craves attention and human interaction, so a family that can walk and play with her regularly would be a must. The best home for her would also have ... (Read More)another dog, as she LOVES wrestling and chasing. We put male dogs only on the post, as she has shown one isolated sign of aggression with a female dog she used to play with regularly, and are unsure if it's due to her need for dominance. She was adopted from a shelter in the Portland area, so she is fully vaccinated, fixed, and microchipped. She loves interacting with our three small children, and also is gentle with our cats (she loves them too much, which makes them tend to avoid her). For a puppy, she is fairly intelligent, knowing how to sit, lay down, shake paws, and stay on command. She is also leash trained, although her high energy level causes her to be quite headstrong with the pace. Please email or call with questions. We're looking for the right fit, so we may have questions as well. We're asking for a $100 re-homing fee due to the costs we've put into her, as well as the pet supplies we will send with her. Lucy has been with me since August 2013 when she strayed into my yard in Arizona. I spayed her and put her in a rescue because we were getting ready to sell our house and move back to Oregon. I fostered her and she became very depressed after every adoption event, so I kept her. We had three Australian Sheperds and two cats at the time.
