Loki is still looking for his forever home!! When I met this boy, I knew he deserve so much more in life! Before Loki came to us, he did not had a good life, never knew what is a loving home or warm bed mean by? He did not knew how to play with a ball or run with his four legged friends! We understand that Loki may have lived his life as a stray before Animal Control brought him to San Bernandino shelter. Despite living a rough life, Loki is sweet, adorable, playful, submissive and energetic 4 year old, 40 lbs Pitbull terrier mix. He is UTD on shots and neutered. He is great with people and kids of all age. He is cat friendly and ... (Read More)currently lives with two cats and his foster doggy sissy Angel. He is friendly with small dogs. Loki was also attacked by big dog before he was brought and treated in the shelter. This makes sense as he is little skittish of big dogs at the beginning, but we know that with good introduction he will be good with female large dogs. He is potty trained, crate trained and has no food or toy aggression. He loves his raw bone and loves car rides. He has a beautiful shinny coat. This boy loves to go for walk and is always ready at the drop of a pin, so if you like hiking, backpacking and camping, Loki is a perfect fit. He loves people playing baseball or any sports. So he can be your great baseball game buddy! He runs like a champion! We are looking for a loving home who understands him and this breed, love outdoors, can spend plenty of time with our precious boy and continue to teach him new tricks everyday!     Hi! I'm Gerty! I'm a mature lady who is ready for a home to call my own. I was a stray, so the shelter doesn't know much about my background. I'm an older gal, maybe 10 years old. I am sweet, well-mannered, and gentle with people. I'm not a huge fan of other dogs, but I'd love to join a human family. I will be available after 8/16. It is always nice if you send an inquiry about a specific adoptable guest via email to tell us about you, your family and other pets, your yard, and most importantly, your expectations of your new family member so we can answer your questions appropriately as best as possible. Please, if you email an inquiry, please understand that these animals are in the shelter for a variety of reasons: Their lives are upside down maybe because owner died, they got lost, were abandoned, owner lost home or had a life event that left their pet in need of a new home. We don't always know how they will get along with all dogs, all children. Some won't be a perfect family member right away! They will need love, patience, a strong owner who will let them know what is expected of them and what they can expect from their new family. It may take an afternoon or it may take a week or so! But they need homes and families who will bring them back to knowing what family is! Puppies: Please understand they are puppies; not potty trained; not good or bad with kids, dogs, cats. They are pliable puppies ready for you to imprint good manners, social skills, and training. You are encouraged to follow up with training after they are finished with shot series and or at the direction of your veterinarian. A happy healthy well socialized puppy is a happy family! You may be asked to make a refundable deposit for spay/neutering. Inquire at the Shelter. General Adoption Fees for Dog: Adult dogs and puppies- $125, Senior dogs 7 and over $50. Veterans are half price / $62.50 with presentation of government issued VA ID. For Josephine County fee includes first year licensing. Please visit the shelter or if need special arrangements for meet and greet please email me. If you have a dog- encourage you to bring also. Staff may be unable to answer calls right away, so you may contact me via email if you cannot get to shelter right away! You are encouraged to make your best effort to go during normal business hours. Note: Often times we are asked 'what about cats'?' Please be advised that we cannot guarantee a dog's behavior with a cat; sometimes the dog is fine with a cat- but cat not so happy about his canine intruder! If we know emphatically that a dog could take issue with a cat, livestock or chickens- will be stated in body of biography! I'm super duper friendly and quite the social butterfly--I love all people, even kids!     Seven-year old Australian Shepherd. This sweet boy is very friendly, and needs lots of exercise and attention. I am his second owner. Previous owners had to surrender him because he ran away all the time. I recently moved, and he is exhibiting high signs of separation anxiety. I don't know if he would tolerate crate training. I do get him out for lots of exercise, but cannot take him with me when I go to work. It is with a very heavy heart that I am ...     Sammie is a muscle-bound, energetic 5 year old Staffordshire terrier, who is currently in foster care and doing well. She has a lot of energy, is very athletic, and LOVES her chew toys. She will play fetch for hours on end. In fact, you will often see her cram as many toys in her mouth as she can...quite a comical little girl. She connects well with her people and loves to hang out in the house with them. She is house broken, kennel trained, not destructive in the home, and does fairly well walking on leash. She is obedient, will sit for her food and jumps right in the tub for a bath. It's as if getting a bath was a normal routine in her ... (Read More)former life or she just LOVES to play in water! Therefore, a kiddie pool is this girl's dream. She gets along with most dogs, but doesn't do well with some females. So, an introduction with other dogs in the home is a must to make sure it is a good fit. She does a bit of resource guarding, which may need to be managed. Sammie will bark at strangers and cats, but otherwise is fairly quiet in her foster home situation. She would not do well in a home with cats, but seems to get along most children. Of note, is that when Sammie is fixated on her toys, it can be difficult to get her attention away from the toys. In fact, she prefers to chew on rocks, which can be hazardous and will need to be monitored. So, while there are a few minor issues with this girl, she is a pleasure to have in her foster home and would make a good companion dog for most anyone.     Hilo is an easy-going, independent 6-year-old pit bull mix, who is past all that puppy nonsense and is looking for a home to settle into for his remaining years. This patient dog doesn't demand lots of attention, but he likes having people around to hang out with most of the time. He's alert to his surroundings and will initially bark at strange sounds or new people in his home. However, he warms up quickly and will definitely bond with his humans over time. He walks nicely on the leash, enjoys sniffing and exploring his surroundings, and has not been reactive to other dogs or new people he encounters on his walks. However, he tends to get ... Therefore, he will do best in a home where he is not left outside by himself. Here at the Animal Shelter, Hilo participated in play groups and did well with social female dogs his size. He is currently in a foster home getting a break from the Shelter, where he has peacefully co-existed with an older male dog and a younger male dog who lives nearby, but he does not actively seek out dogs to play with. Hilo is housebroken, treat motivated, and knows basic commands, including sit, down, and shake. They enjoy challenging games and outdoor romps. Average lifespan is 15-16 years.' Robin is a sweet and stubborn boy. He is protective and tends to be dominant. He would be best placed in a home with no other animals and older kids. He likes to chase balls and bring them back. He would be a great running partner, agility or hunting dog. He needs a job to keep him busy and his energy level down. He also needs a secure yard where he can dig, and run around. He will escape if he can. He has a sensitive stomach so he has to eat grain free. We feed salmon and brown rice food because the beef based food upsets their stomachs. He gets food aggressive. He has torn apart a fluffy dog bed and eaten the stuffing resulting in a very expensive surgery to remove the stuffing from his stomach so he cannot have fluffy dog beds anymore. They sleep on a large bathroom rug instead. He loves toys and will play but we buy stuffing free so that he can play safely. He is crate trained and house broke and looks forward to going outside to run around everyday. He hasn't been around many other animals so we don't know how he will react without a meet and greet. Doberman Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Adult

Ranger is a beautiful boy that loves people, but is not good with dogs. We have had him since he was a puppy. His dad is a Doberman, and his mom was a Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix. He has been professionally e-collar trained and is very obedient as long as there are minimal distractions. We have been working hard at getting him past these issues and he has improved, but needs someone that can help him further. The only reason I am considering re-homing him is because our family dynamic has changed. Due to divorce, I have to change jobs and he will be home alone much more than I would like. At my old job he could come to work with me and run ... (Read More)around in the large yard and chase squirrels till his heart's content, but we won't have that luxury with my new job. He is good with our indoor cat. He likes to play and chase, but has never shown any other tendencies (outdoor cats are another matter). He has no issues with house training or marking. I am hoping to find a great home with lots of room for him to run. (Less)

I need to turn over my dog Baxter. I adopted him 2 years ago from San Juan island but I have since moved in with my son and he has a 16 month old and another on the way and they don't want me to continue to have Baxter here. He is 7 years old, a chocolate lab/pit mix. He is very friendly, likes other dogs and knows his commands pretty well. He is a little over weight but not too bad. He is a very sweet dog but I just don't have another option right now. I don't like the idea of Craig's list as I would hate to see him in a bad home. As for his training he knows all his commands and is pretty obedient for me. He doesn't listen to others very ... (Read More)well if I'm there. I think he is a one person dog. If I'm not there he will listen to my son very well. The previous shelter told me he had been adopted twice and brought back each time because he kept running off on the people. I never have had that issue, if I'm there he stays right by me. I work full time and can't be with him all the time. I will admit that due to his breeding I have kept him away from small kids unless I am right there so I can't say how he would be with smaller kids. Like I mentioned before he was older when I took him in and I have never wanted to risk it. When I got him he had all his vaccinations up to date. That was January 2015. I have all his adoption papers. I personally think he would be a wonderful companion / protector for a household with adults. Thank you Debbie (Less)

If you inquire by email- please tell us about you, your family, your yard, other animals, children, and your expectations of your new pet and what your new pet can expect from you. When you do so, we can better address your inquiry. See more at: www.savethewhiskers.org Alternate Contact Raleigh@savethewhiskers.org or text 541 660 6578 name of dog. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Oh our lovely Daisy Mae. We don't want to know what this girl has gone through in her life to be so afraid of men and kids but it must have been miserable for her. She will warm up to a man but it takes a lot of patience. Females she becomes more comfortable with much faster. She is so very loyal to her person once she has bonded with them. Daisy needs a patient home that is willing to help her become comfortable and feel safe. We have done the best we can but it is a shelter and it is very high stress. She has never nipped or attempted to nip out of fear; she stays clear of things that scare her. Please help us find the perfect home for our ... (Read More)Daisy Mae. (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Augie came to us about 4 months ago as a rescue. He is an enormous sweet lab/malamute mix who is goofy and loving and also anxious and overly protective. He has been snarling at folks who come to close to things he's trying to protect and recently bit my son severely. While he showed a ton of remorse, we can't have him in our home any longer. I am looking to re-home to one that will love and care for him and give him a good, safe home but knows when to keep their distance. I'm told it's the malamute in him that causes him to be so protective but other than that, he's the sweetest pup.

Clark is the most amazing puppy. He is adorable and smart. He learned sit in a day. Clark is a lab mixed with a golden retriever (based on his tail and coloring). The vet who neutered him estimated his age at 2 years, but he still looks like he has growing to do, so we think he may be under a year. He currently weighs about 75 pounds. If we know has lived with cats or farm animals will be stated above in biography. Otherwise- we don't know. If you inquire by email- please tell us about you, your family, your yard, other animals, children, and your expectations of your new pet and what your new pet can expect from you. When you do so, we can better address your inquiry. Shelter number 541 474-5458 for status of availability as some may have been adopted since this post, and about any pending spay/neuter surgery if noted as sometimes spay/neuter appointment may be sooner if a cancellation is available. Dogs noted as a Great American Shelter Dog are noted as such because we are not sure of the breed and can only give out best guess. See more at: www.savethewhiskers.org Alternate Contact Raleigh@savethewhiskers.org or text 541 660 6578 name of dog. Hi everybody, my name is Scout and I'm a super sweet guy. I was rescued from the Clackamas County animal shelter and am doing great in my temporary foster home with another female German Shepherd. I love to play with my foster sister and I just love all people including children. While at the shelter, I had a bladder stone removed and have recovered during my stay in my foster home. I'm easy to please and I thrive on human attention. My biggest fault is I really don't like small critters, pesky cats, or small yappy dogs. I've been taught to chase those types away. I do get along with other medium and large dogs, both male and female. My ... (Read More)adoption fee includes my neutering, rabies shot, vaccines, 1 month supply of Proin, (bladder support), 1 bag of dog food, collar and leash. My ideal home would have a large fenced yard or property to run on, a doggy playmate large enough to wrestle with me, a retired or work-at-home owner, a doggy door, a warm bed, and lots and lots of affection. Is that too much to ask for a sweet guy like me? I would give you much love and devotion in return. If I sound like a canine companion you'd like to meet, please email my rescue. I will be excited to finally have a home and loving forever family to call my own. I'm waiting by the front door to meet you! (Less)

Meet Fee Fee Four Socks a one year old lab-pit mix 58 pounds approximately 9 monthswiggle butt. Here is her story. She was found being dragged down the road behind a skateboard and near death. Person dragging this 30 pound girl said she was having a miscarriage. This story was suspect. The sweet pooch was secured to safety and her near lifeless self was taken to the Vet. She was at death's door being diagnosed with Parvo. This exuberant 58 pound lady loves people- and be warned you are could be licked numb. She is ok with cats with supervision- but if left unsupervised- not such a good idea- they are too fun to chase- not fair to kitty. She delights in water splashing, toy toss and being part of your family. This survivor is such an eager pleaser and a diamond in the ruff. With continued loving leadership and training- she will sparkle like a precious gem. There are some who do not like the following criteria; I am not sorry- as it is my prerogative to set the parameters of this placement. Most people who are interested have no problem. But, it you are one of the few that take offense-, Go no further. Please tell me about you, your family, other pets, yard, own or rent; your expectations of your new pooch, what pooch can expect from you! Please provide this information and city in which you live with contact phone number. This is not a first come first serve placement. The objective is to find the perfect home for pooch and family. If you do not provide requested information- please do not expect a reply to your inquiry. Please provide your email to which I can respond and phone number for serious inquiries. Be prepared to provide photos of your immediate fenced yard or your intentions if not fenced- and of your family living room area with a selfie. Many of the dogs that come to me are placed in foster and I am entrusted to find the best homes. There is a reasonable fee to cover foster care and medical and sometimes to pay forward to other dogs in need of extra. I take the placement of dogs under my charge very seriously- so please only inquire if interested. Your first question should not be 'how much'- it should be, 'what can I offer to ensure a happy forever life'. Although I am a volunteer for our local animal shelter and help finding shelter dogs great homes, this placement is a private adoption not affiliated with our local animal shelter.     Due to illness of owner this dog must be rehomed. She is a good dog housebroken stays off furniture and lives with 3 cats and one other dog. She is a good watchdog. She can be aggressive to other dogs but with a short amount of introduction she is fine. I would not recommend taking her to a dog park though. Requires a fenced yard and will walk on leash however she pulls. She weighs about 85-90 lbs very lean.

Bluetick Coonhound    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Cash' as we call him is 3.5 years old. We've had him since he was 6 weeks old. He's house broken, great with basic obedience. He heels, walks on a leash perfectly, responds to MOST commands. Gets along great with children with other dogs as well, not cats. Also He's 100% up to date on all his shots to include rabies & kennel caugh, microchipped & neutered. He's been on flea meds and heart guard his whole life. He is a Wonderful dog but HE IS a hound dog to the letter. He's loud. Very loud, that's a hound. Whether it's just a bark or he's hot on a scent, his voice is like no other dogs. He follows his nose and if he's on a scent he doesn't ... (Read More)come back. So 'hikes' or 'walks on the beach' off leash aren't his thing. He's very loyal but he is also very stubborn. He's never hunted before but I know he could be trained to do so easily. He's not super high strung but he requires a lot of excercise, stimulation and attention. The ONLY reason I'm wanting to rehome him is to give him an opportunity to live a full 'hound dog life' and living in the city isnt doing that for him. Right now he has an amazing dog life! I just want more for him. If you think he would fit in your family please email me. I would want to see where the place he was going before rehoming him. (Less)

Shark is a very handsome pup. He is a little shy toward men, but he will adjust quickly if you have a friendly & respectful dog with you. He will do better in a home where the adopter already has a FRIENDLY adult dog in the house to play and look up as a role model. He takes treats very gently, and he know how to sit using only his two hind legs to earn his doggie treats. Shark is NOT a dog you can leave it alone unsupervised in the yard, he got bored easily and he will cries. Activity Level: He needs lots of daily exercise to stay sound and fit and mental stimulation to keep him entertained and happy. If you have a home with a swimming ... (Read More)pool where he will be allowed to swim in, then he will be super happy! If you are working at a pet friendly place, then it will e super ideal for him since he loves riding in the car to and from work, spend ALL the time with his human.     Meet Perry, an doxie/chi/pug mix who beats to his own drum. Perry is a very independent 6 year old dog who likes a little space. For this reason he should not be adopted out to a home with young children. Perry is more of a solo dog, who loves floor snuggles, but will get up and leave when he is over it. He loves chilling in the sun, going on hikes, and car rides. Once attached, he walks leash free. Like most dogs, he doesn't come without his quirks. She does not get along with other dogs that she doesn't already know. She is very smart and with lots of love and attention I know she can be an amazing dog. As much as it hurts my heart, it's an urgent thing to find her a new home. Rescue Me ID: 17-07-08-00218Iko (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Iko loves to kiss your chin, get belly rubs and neck massages, chase balls, chew bones and nap on any place soft. He's a great companion on a walk or run - great leash skills --- unless he sees another dog he wants to play with, he will need more training to respond without pulling and barking. He is large powerful animal, but our sons can control him well with a nose lead. He is house and kennel trained. He happily curls up in his kennel for our work hours with a bone, but he's a large active dog who loves to be exercised and then sleep it off. He came to his foster home from a family who had to surrender him because they had a new baby ... (Read More)and couldn't give him the time and attention he needed. He never showed aggression around the small child. In our foster family, Iko plays well with his foster dog bros and our older children (early teens). He is eager to learn and is ready to please his forever family. His forever family should have time to love and care for him, a fenced backyard, NO CATS and perhaps be familiar with the Shepherd breed. His loyalty, desire to be useful and activity levels are very German Shepherd-like. He has one birth defect, one of his front legs has a reversed ulna bone. It doesn't stop his activity and the vet just recommends keeping Iko at a healthy weight to minimize issues as he ages. (Less)

Rat Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Little Max a 8month old - according to vet is a presumed Rat Terrier Papillon mix and weighs 9 pounds, is potty trained, gets on with dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes. He has lived with a cat- but might chase for fun. He will do best with older children- as little ones can be unpredictable. He is a bit wary when first meeting people- but warms up quickly. He does have a tendency to be a bit dominant- but can be put in his place. Not an excessive barker except when he should- like people coming to the door. He loves the car, going for walks, and being part of the family. He is a lovable little boy- up to date on shots and noted as ... (Read More)neutered. Currently in foster as his previous owners had little children- and was not the best fit for them. (Less)

Meet Casey! This handsome 1.5 yr old Pit Bull mix is a total love-bug and looking for a new family to call his own. Casey is a sweet, goofy, energetic, and extremely loving boy. He is obedient and eager to please. He walks well on leash, but could use some ongoing training with not getting worked up when passing other dogs. Casey has some rescue guarding issues with other dogs, so a home where he can be the king of castle and not have to share his space with another k9 would be best. Casey LOVES everyone he meets and is excellent with kids of all ages. He is an active young guy, so a family that likes to get outdoors and that will be ... Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Jester is sweet and intelligent. He has learned commands since being in our home and shows us so much love. He loves to play; with us, with he tosses his tennis balls around and wrestle with his stuffed toys. He is learning basics in obedience class. He needs help on walks. He pulls hard and barks and is reactive when he sees other dogs. He goes crazy when he sees squirrels and is hard to contain. We have an older dog in our home and while he is calm when he sees her, he tries to prevent her from getting close to us and has shown aggression towards her. He tends to herd our small dogs and the cat. Jester was very compliant when he met ... (Read More)our dogs at the shelter. He was subdued in our home. When he had his vet checkup on the third day, we learned he was very ill with pneumonia. After IV fluids and antibiotics he was much better. His sweetness and love for us remains but his energy and anxiety with the other dogs became evident when he was well. We have crate trained him and move the animals from room to room to limit the opportunity for him to compete for attention. We have signed him up for more training and believe he can be an excellent companion but feel the stress in keeping him away from our older large dog is to much as our home is not large enough to keep this up and our yard is small. We hope to re home him to a single animal home with a family that will continue training him. He is black, has expressive brown eyes, his tail tip is white and he has a small blaze of white on his chest. He is 43 pounds. I will post a picture when I can get my computer to work! (Less)

Bloodhound    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Aggressive

Caddie is a 3 yr old bloodhound (unsure if purebred, but she looks it). We're looking for a good home for her with someone who has experience with bloodhounds and is patient. She's a sweet & loving dog but has aggressive behaviors when she is asked to do what she doesn't want to. She shows aggression with food and toys around other dogs, and adults as well at times. She is VERY affectionate and loving toward children. She's been around one other cat that we know of, likes to chase but otherwise shows no aggression. She's quiet for the most part, haven't had much issue with baying. Caddie is NOT a hunting dog and is very skiddish around loud ... (Read More)noises. Caddie CAN learn, she likes to please her owners for the most part. She needs a trainer who is abundant in patience and understanding of the breed...and then more patience! We have only had Caddie in our home for about 3 weeks, so we don't know her full background. We care a lot about this dog, but we are not the right fit for her. We want to be sure she is going to a good home - so we will have questions for potential owners and fosters. Caddie's adoption fee is a wonderful new home. (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Diesel is a 2-year old German Shepard/ Rottweiler mix. He was in training as a PTSD and mobility-support service dog, but has failed out of the program and is looking for his forever pet home. Part of the reason he failed is that he was secretly being abused in his home by another house member, (it was caught on camera and that person arrested). He has not fully recovered from this and it sometimes shows up as mild separation anxiety (he's a chewer and sometimes eats things he shouldn't like his blanket) and ducking when you raise your hand or make sudden moves. Diesel was also attacked by a small dog and continues to be not fond of them; ... (Read More)however, if introduced slowly, he does just fine. Same with cats. He is sensitive, goofy, medium to high energy, snugly, and will make you laugh for hours with his antics. He has nice manners if you remind him to use them, and walks well on a leash in a halty or on a choke chain. He does have some leash reactivity with dogs he does not know, and needs to be introduced to other dogs slowly. We've been working on changing that, and he is doing somewhat better, but will need continued training. Due to his energy level and size, he would probably do best in a home without small children. He loves them but doesn't always remember where they are and can knock them down by accident. He's currently in Olympia, WA but would love to meet you. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-23-00076Jimbo (male)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi my name is Jimbo. I am about 5 and not 100% of my mix breed. My owner rescued me when I was puppy. I got hit by a car when I was 1 and had to get a surgery on my broken shoulder. My owner took care of me so lovingly that I fully recovered from it and never limped ever. I am a very good jumper and runner. I love fetching frisbees, tennis ball. I am a pretty cool dog in general, but I am a chaser/hunter of anything that crawls, even chase butterflies shadows make me crazy. I will get rid of gofers, rats, mouse, lezard..... I would love to have a 4 legs buddy to play with everyday, but it cannot be a cat or any other pets than dogs. I need ... (Read More)to be outdoor everyday and need to run. I need some leash training and learning not to take off when unleashed, as I had the chance to live outdoor most of my life. But I also highly appreciate the indoor comfort. I am good with people but also protective of my beloved ones as being an Alpha dog. I have a tendency to greet people not smoothly enough as I forget that I weigh about 65lbs. I can be very goofy. My loving owner is a single dad of a 4 y/old boy and his relocation out of state in July makes it difficult for me to follow him. So I would love to find a family with older kids and dogs who love to play with me and to take me for walk and to dog parks. I love outdoor hiking too. At the end of the day, I love my indoor confort and cuddling time. I always look for a caress, a kiss, a hug and a treat. I am not a barker and only do so when it is really needed when I sense of potential danger. I drink a lot of water everyday and eat well. I am very healthy. Shiny coat. I am 5 but I still act like a puppy. (Less)

Rat Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Neno is a sweet old man. He is a terrier mix and we really don't know what kind of terriers, so we picked 2. He is about 20 pounds. He loves to play with his fur foster sibling and is great with kids in his foster home. He was okay with cats in a prior foster home, but it has been awhile, so we aren't sure how he would be with cats now. Neno is about 7.5 years old and likes cuddles in addition to playtime. Neno is fixed, chipped, and current on his vaccinations. Neno is currently in a foster home in So Cal, but can be adopted in Oregon or Southwest Washington.     Are you looking for your soul mate? This 33lb and 7 year old pup could be your new best friend. He's handsome, charming and relatively mellow for a cattle dog. He enjoys your company, firm but gentle leadership, and low to moderate exercise. He has lived with cats and other small dogs, but he does not enjoy puppies/other submissive dogs/bigger dogs.
