Rescue Me ID: 14-01-30-00451Zvezda (STAR) (female)

Parson Russell Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Zvezda (Star) is a wonderful dog, 3-4 years old. She has the most beautifully sad, honest look in her eyes full of love, and fear as well, and you can tell that she has suffered so much and she really needs to find her peace that she deserves SO MUCH and to finally give all of her love that she is full of to someone who would rescue her. She is temporarily housed for the time being, but she is a street dog. She has an old wound on her leg from a car which has not been treated properly, and now that leg has become completely atrophied and she will not be able to use it again...Several toes are missing and there are open wounds on those ... (Read More)places, and unfortunately there is another bigger open wound on the upper side of the same leg. It is necessary that the wounds are treated - we are currently making efforts to make that happen. However, DONATIONS ARE NECESSARY (for food, accommodation which is paid for and medical treatment). I am unemployed and I cannot help her on my own. Your help will enable her to stay accommodated for some time and have the one and only opportunity to find her forever home, and get further necessary treatment. Without your help, I will be forced to leave her in such a condition on the street. PLEASE HELP! AT LEAST GIVE DONATIONS, so she could stay there until the wounds heal because that is the only way to avoid complications, infections and amputation of the leg. Still, even with healed wounds, with her atrophied leg, if she remains on the street and does not get a home, I do not believe she will survive. Although she has her leg, she is still an invalid, she walks on 3 legs and the injured leg is hanging. She could easily get hit by another car and due to the fact that she feels no pain, the nerve is damaged, she can hit her leg on some object and create wounds so she could get sepsis, an infection that can cost her her life, not to mention all the other risks and dangers on the street to which she would be constantly exposed. For example, poison, abuse from children, people, diseases, starvation and what not, and also if she gets picked up by the pound she would be surely euthanized. ZVEZDA MUST GET A HOME! WHOEVER GIVES HER A HOME WILL SAVE A LIFE OF A HELPLESS, INNOCENT, PURE LITTLE SOUL. Amputation is not necessary, if the leg is kept from further injuries after the current wounds heal. She manages with such a leg, however not enough to survive on the street, but more than enough to make a perfect pet with which you can play, run and do just about anything. SHE IS A DEAR, SHE LOVES TO CUDDLE AND BE SURROUNDED BY PEOPLE. Every time she sees me, she wags her tail so much you would think it would fly off out of joy. She is a faithful dog, very modest. She is trained to live in a domestic environment, and has acquired hygienic habits. It would be best if she were kept inside the house, but also a part of your yard with a little dog house would do just fine. She only needs someone to love her, take care of her and treat her properly. She is a real sweetheart, full of pure honest love, she obeys, she is meek, modest, does not complain about anything, wherever you leave she stays there, and I still haven't heard her bark. An angel who would be most grateful, you will find in her your best friend, a piece of sunshine that will heal you with her energy and will love you unconditionally like no other human being. She is sterilized and cleaned from any kind of parasites. A home of her own is the only thing that would save her life. You will literally become her savior, otherwise she will die. If you save her she will be most grateful and will give you all of her heart.072 219 671 or (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Dog in Macedonia
Dogs can make good pets in Macedonia if they match your IifestyIe. Dogs have a reputation for being "man's best friend" for excellent reasons. Dogs are wonderful companions. Many breeds, in addition to being affectionate, devoted members of the family, are useful working dogs and guardians. Most dogs form tight bonds with their humans, and need to be cared for like the valuable family members they are. But sadly, some owners do not live up to the responsibility and involvement it takes to properly care for a dog throughout its life. Dogs can become the victims of neglect or active abuse. Some dogs receive tender, attentive care from their owners, but no longer have a home after their owner passes away or experiences a major life event that makes him unable to keep his dog. There are many more dogs than there are homes for dogs, and dogs that are not spayed or neutered can accidentally produce large numbers of puppies, exacerbating overpopulation. For this reason, three to four million dogs, many of them perfectly healthy and wonderful animals, are euthanized in the U.S. each year.

Many people get excited about owning a new dog, decide to get a puppy, and then pick one out at a pet shop or visit a breeder with a new litter. However, there are so many wonderful, friendly dogs in need of adoption, including puppies and purebreds. Some of these dogs might even be a better fit for a family than a new puppy; for instance, some adult dogs in need of adoption are already housebroken and obedience trained. Adoption is typically much less expensive than purchasing a dog. People who adopt dogs find the experience extremely rewarding, bond very closely with their dogs, and have the added satisfaction of knowing that one less animal has to be euthanized. If your family is ready for a canine companion, please consider adopting a dog!
