'My name is Glory, I'm from Ukraine. I was an ordinary puppy, had a loving mother which took care of me, who warm me up during cold nights, and an owner who seemed to loved us... But when I grown up my owner brought me in a bag in some village and left alone. I was crying day and night. day and night I was searching for my mom and some food...I were in pain...nobody would let me in to their homes...people just were hitting me, pushing me away....Once a big dog caught me...she grabbed me with her teeth and started ripping me apart... It was terribly painful. And I lost conscience...I only remember that somebody took me from that big dog and saved.... And now I am puppy with special needs because I can walk only on my foresaw, I have a bitten through spine... long time I couldn't come to mind...pain...unbearable pain...and horror, that's all what I remember. Every day I was just laying and doing nothing... days were passing...I've been in a many clinics.. There I and my saver, we have lost all hope for my normal life...But I am alive!!! Even maybe more then I was before...I feel love, care, warmth from the people I never knew before...now I am Glory!!! I left behind fear and pain, I am 3,5 months and more that I love in this world is YOU, MY OWNER!!! I was dreaming about a mom!!! Who will love me the way I am!! And I promise to behave as a good dog, stay next, be the best!!! Mom if you are reading right now this letter, let me know that I found you...' |Rescue Me ID: 14-12-09-00758Musya (female)|
Please take a look at her! Maybe she was waiting for you to rescue her? In May 2014 Musya was hit by the car and during several days she was just left on the highway. One couple was driving that highway when they saw Musya. They brought her to a vet clinic immediately. Unfortunately, because Musya did not received an immediate help. her spinal trauma caused that Musya was no longer able to use her hind legs. However, it does not prevent Musya from being active dog - in her wheelchair Musya loves to walk and run. The couple that saved Musya sponsors Musya - thanks to their donations she had surgery after the indecent and has a wheelchair. But they spend almost all their time in business trips and can't take care of Musya. That is why Musya is waiting for her forever home and caring family. Musya is extremely loving and nice dog, she is just waiting for the right family to share her love with them! If you want to adopt Musya, we will prepare all necessary paperwork and arrange her transportation to the USA. We understand that with such injuries, Lessie has no chance to find loving home in Ukraine, and we highly appreciate your willingness to adopt her. You can contact me at email@example.com - Maria (I'm a contact in the USA for adoption). Or you can contact the Ukrainian shelter directly to firstname.lastname@example.org or at +38(050)083-9429. Kovcheg-House Hopes and Expectations (#1141081)
|Rescue Me ID: 14-12-07-00013Lena (female)|
Without your help Lena will stay at the shelter for the rest of her life! Lena had a difficult life: she was betrayed by her owners when they found that she was hit by a car and a part of her back leg is badly injured. Lena's owners did want to take her to a vet and left her on the street. Volunteers from the Ukrainian shelter 'Kovcheg' found her and brought to the shelter. Unfortunately, part of Lena's back leg was severely injured and amputated. Lena is a medium-size god and has a beautiful black fur. She is around 3 years old. Lena was spayed and has up-to-date vaccination. Despite not having a part of a back leg, Lena is active, curious and playful dog. She is very kind and smart, will be a good and loyal guardian. Lena is dreaming of finding a permanent home with loving and caring family. Please take a look at Lena, look in her eyes - they are full of love and hope. If you want to adopt Lena, we will prepare all necessary paperwork and arrange her transportation to the USA. We understand that with such injuries, Lessie has no chance to find loving home in Ukraine, and we highly appreciate your willingness to adopt her. |Rescue Me ID: 14-11-29-00015Lessie (female)|
Without your help she will stay at the shelter forever!! Lessie - a dog without the bottom jaw. She was found with injured mouth and missing bottom jaw. Who knows what has happened to her, who abused her and for how long people ignored Lessie with her injuries finding them ugly and distressing. And no one was ever found responsible for this crime. Volunteers from the Ukrainian private shelter 'Kovcheg' found Lessie and help her. At the beginning Lessie couldn't eat anything but pureed food and drink liquids, but now she can eat solid food by herself! It's a small victory for Lessie and everyone involved in her rescue!! Lessie is approximately 3-4 years old. She is friendly with other dogs and cats. She is lovely and nice dog, loving human's attention. But sometimes she is afraid of sudden movements (apparently, she is still afraid that people can hurt her again). However, she has never been aggressive with people. Lessie is recommended for a family without small kids. Lessie has all up-to-date vaccination. She is looking for a forever home and loving family. If you want to adopt Lessie, we will prepare all necessary paperwork and arrange her transportation to the USA. With such injuries, Lessie almost has no chance to find loving home in Ukraine, and we highly appreciate your willingness to adopt her. You can contact me at email@example.com - Maria (I'm a contact in the USA for adoption). Or you can contact the Ukrainian shelter directly at +38(050)083-9429 or send emails to firstname.lastname@example.org. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Dog in Ukraine|
Dogs can make good pets in Ukraine if they match your IifestyIe. Dogs have a reputation for being "man's best friend" for excellent reasons. Dogs are wonderful companions. Many breeds, in addition to being affectionate, devoted members of the family, are useful working dogs and guardians. Most dogs form tight bonds with their humans, and need to be cared for like the valuable family members they are. But sadly, some owners do not live up to the responsibility and involvement it takes to properly care for a dog throughout its life. Dogs can become the victims of neglect or active abuse. Some dogs receive tender, attentive care from their owners, but no longer have a home after their owner passes away or experiences a major life event that makes him unable to keep his dog. There are many more dogs than there are homes for dogs, and dogs that are not spayed or neutered can accidentally produce large numbers of puppies, exacerbating overpopulation. For this reason, three to four million dogs, many of them perfectly healthy and wonderful animals, are euthanized in the U.S. each year.
Many people get excited about owning a new dog, decide to get a puppy, and then pick one out at a pet shop or visit a breeder with a new litter. However, there are so many wonderful, friendly dogs in need of adoption, including puppies and purebreds. Some of these dogs might even be a better fit for a family than a new puppy; for instance, some adult dogs in need of adoption are already housebroken and obedience trained. Adoption is typically much less expensive than purchasing a dog. People who adopt dogs find the experience extremely rewarding, bond very closely with their dogs, and have the added satisfaction of knowing that one less animal has to be euthanized. If your family is ready for a canine companion, please consider adopting a dog!
